Day 45, Anchor Point, Alaska

We only traveled 56 miles today.  We left Soldotna and went south on the Sterling Highway.  We are staying at the Bee Hive RV Park which is about 4 or 5 miles north of Anchor Point, Alaska.  We will be here for 3 nights and then head back to Soldotna for 3 nights.  It has been raining off and on most of the afternoon.  We have finally gotten WiFi again.  It isn’t a real strong signal but at this point it is wonderful.  My Sprint broadband shows a full signal a lot of the time but it just won’t handle any data.  We can get online and open e-mail, although it is slow, but I can’t get it to upload my blogs.  We finally went to the visitor’s center in Soldotna to get the last blogs to upload.  Thought you might get a kick out of the “Bee” in front of the RV park.

The wings are sewer hoses.  We are about 20 miles from Homer where most of the “to see” stuff is at but we are paying $25 a night for full hookup and the most expensive places on the split in Homer are $65 a night.  We think this will do nicely.
