Today we drove out to the Exit Glacier. It is in the Kenai Fjords National Park. It is part of the Harding Icefield which is 35 by 20 miles in area. Gary says it would make a lot of homemade ice cream which sounds like a good idea to me.
The Exit Glacier got it’s name from when they were exploring it and decided it would be a good place to exit the icefield. It was about a mile walk from the visitor center to where the glacier is at this time. As with all glaciers it is retreating every year due to the climate change we are experiencing. I didn’t say global warming, I said climate change which I don’t believe is caused by man.
You do see some strange people in these places.
