Noah, the musical

We took the kids to see “Noah, the musical” today. They really liked it. It isn’t totally like the biblical account but they make that clear at the start and they do keep the original story line straight. If you haven’t seen it, it is well worth the money. We went to the 3:30 pm show and it was a little over $126 for the 5 of us. For supper we went to the Steak and Shake. It was good but the hamburgers were really small. Tomorrow we will be going to Silver Dollar City.

Grandkids and Branson

We are on our annual outage with 3 of the grandkids. We have 2 eight year old and one fourteen year old. We left home about 9:45 am and arrived at Treasure Lake about 4 pm with lunch at the McDonalds on the turnpike and one pit stop at a rest stop. We went down to Branson’s Landing for supper at Garfield’s and then went to the fountain show with the lights and fire. Justin and Angel were sitting down close to the show area and they both almost had a run away when they did the first fire bursts. We are presently back at the motor home and Justin and Angel are getting their baths.

Tomorrow we will probably be going to the swimming pool and then to the pizza place where they have games and go carts. We haven’t decided when we will go to Silver Dollar City yet.

Same O, same O

I was walking around the motor home the other day and I suddenly noticed the tires. No, I knew they were there but they looked different than they did when we left Texas. They have some rather deep weather cracks. I had planned on replacing them next year before we left on our Alaska trip but now I have reevaluated the plan and will have them replaced tomorrow. How would you like to replace 6 tires at about $531 per tire. The motor home is a 2005 but it came with 2003 tires so they have lasted the 6 years most people agree they should. I probably have 3/8" of tread left on them but the UV rays have broken down the side walls and caused them to crack. Oh well, I don't have to put new shingles on the roof after a storm and if the new ones last 6 years it will only be $531 a year. So why do I still look at it as writing a check for $3186? I had actually planned on replacing the tires today but it was raining when we got up and it is suppose to be clear tomorrow.

We saw Gary and Mattie House last night for the first time since we left Texas on March the 23rd. We met them in Cushing at the Chinese restaurant. We are really looking forward to seeing all our fellow "Good Samers" at the May meeting in Pawnee. We are planning on taking 3 of our grandchildren to Treasure Lake in Branson after school is out and then some of the older grandsons to Colorado for a week. Still haven't figured out all the details but know it will work out some how. All for now.
