Well we left the Rally Tuesday morning with the intent of driving to Amarillo, Texas for the night but since we actually pulled out at 7:30 am we didn't want to stop when we got to Amarillo. We don't normally leave a campsite until about 10:00 am but there was so much noise from people leaving that we just got up and left. We ended up driving all the way to Elk City, Oklahoma but it really worked out good because we needed to stop at Camping World in Oklahoma on Wednesday. I had bought the Road master brake system for the Jeep that ties into the air lines on the motor home and I needed to check with them on when to have it installed. I found out it hadn't even been ordered yet !! We also ordered a window awning for the window over the couch in the living room area. We wanted one over the bay window area but were told there wasn't enough room on the sides for the hardware arms. They said we could take off the screen topper that comes out over the top of the slide and then put a big awning like we have on the side of the coach in the back. We decided to think about that for awhile.
We got home on Wednesday and Twila has been to the hair dresser and I have been to the barber shop so we both should weigh a little less. We have both been busy doing things we need to do. Twila has been doing laundry and I have been doing things to the MH. I bought an antenna booster that attaches to the over the air antenna on the roof. It is to boost the digital signals on the TVs. We still have to go to our storage building and put our suitcases in storage until we get ready for another cruise. We also plan to take some clothes in and pick up some we haven't worn in awhile. I have no idea how we ever got everything done before we retired. All for now, will get back on if I can think of anything that won't bore you to death.

End of Rally
Well its all over but it was another good day. Twila went to a seminar on Microwave and Convection cooking and another on wrinkle free RV laundry and she said they both were good. I only went to Chris and Jim Guld's seminar on managing digital photos with Picasa. As usual, it was excellent. Now all I have to do is download the free programs and apply what I learned. I wish I could do that as quickly as I typed it.
I have the Jeep connected to the Motorhome and it shouldn't take very long to get everything packed up for moving in the morning. They will be shutting the electric off at 7 am and since it is suppose to get down to 38 F overnight, I guess I will have to get moving or turn on the generator. I may not post another entry until we get to my son in Oklahoma.

Resting up
I guess Twila and I had tired ourselves out because we didn't even get out of bed till after 9 am this morning. Neither one of us have a early seminar we wanted to attend so it didn't matter if we got up early. We did go to the Coast to Coast Casino Royale. For those of you that haven't attended one of them I will explain a little about it. They had tables set up with Craps, Texas Hold Em, Poker, Roulette, and Black Jack. I don't know about the other games but they gave you $100 in chips at the Black Jack tables. The object was to win chips as it is in any game of Black Jack, but when you cashed out they took back the original $100 and anything over you were given one ticket for every $50 in chips. If you lost all your chips all you had to do was find an empty place at another table. Twila and I won a lot of tickets but we didn't win anything in the drawing. It was a lot of fun since you didn't worry about loosing your chips. There was a down side to it though. Twila liked it so much we had to go to a real Casino and that didn't go nearly as easy.
I did go to one seminar in the afternoon, it was about RVing in Mexico. It was interesting but was being presented by a tour company and I really didn't hear anything I didn't already know. Tomorrow is the last day of the Rally and I am ready to get on the road.

Things are looking up.
I went to an early seminar this morning so I left to catch the bus at 7:45 am. I got right on the bus. No waiting ! ! ! Then about 4 pm Twila and I caught the bus back. Again no wait. More bus have been put in service and I imagine at least 25% of the people drove over instead of riding the bus. Tonight we had a balloon glow and it was beautiful. In case you haven't been to one and I hadn't, they had 7 of the hot air balloons which they inflated but kept them on the ground. Then they would light up the balloon by firing the propane without adding oxygen. This caused a bright yellow/orange light inside the balloons. I will try to add some pictures later. I am looking forward to tomorrow, there are only 2 more days at the Rally. Later, Larry

Better stop complaining! ! !
WOW! I guess that will teach me to complain. Yesterday I was griping about the time spent waiting on the bus at the Rally, well guess what today the line was about 4 times as long and it was raining off and on. After waiting for at least an hour and a half another couple had called a cab and wanted someone to share it so $20 plus a tip later we were back at the campground. That didn't even count the bus ride to the Rally. Going over we had to wait another hour and a half to catch the bus. I guess I had better stop talking about it or I may have to spend the night at the fair grounds tomorrow. Again other than the delays catching the bus, we are really enjoying ourselves. After getting in so late and being a little damp we almost didn't go to the evening entertainment but we did and we are glad we did. Neil Sedaka put on a GREAT show. Of course he was playing to the right crowd. A lot of the songs were from the 50's and a lot of the crowd were kids then. Its been a long day so I think I will hit the hay. More later. Larry

At the "Rally" in Albuquerque
After about a year and a half of "full timing I am finally going to start a blog. We are now at the 2009 National Rally in Albuquerque. Went to Jim and Chris Guld's Seminar on Blogging today and learned enough to be dangerous. It was a very informative class and I was surprised at how easy it is to start a blog. It's a little chilly here in Albuquerque, it is suppose to get down to the upper 20's tonight. We have enjoyed the Rally so far. We came in for the early days which were Wednesday and today and will be here until the close on Tuesday morning. When we leave here we will be going to Cushing, Oklahoma where my middle son lives. This was the "home place" before I sold it to my son. I poured a pad for the motorhome there with full hookups. So far the only complaint we would have at the rally would be waiting on the shuttle bus at the fair grounds for an hour. I don't know how often I will post an entry but I am sure it will be more often when we are traveling. At this time we are planning on spending the Summer in Colorado, then this fall we are planning a trip around the southeast USA. We have been spending the Winters in Aransas Pass, Texas. All for now, hope to get better at this. Larry
