Wandering but just in one place

It’s been awhile.  I sometimes wonder if I shouldn’t just stop writing a blog.  We aren’t doing anything exciting or different than other RVer’s.  We aren’t even traveling right now.  Still I look at it as a way of leaving a written record for my grand and great grand kids of what their “Papa” was really like.  Not that I am such a unique person but I know I would like to be able to read the words of my grandfather on my fathers side who died when my dad was about 12.  I know next to nothing about him.  I have seen a few pictures but pictures don’t tell you who a person really is.  Of course I would love to have a written record of my own dad’s life.  I know my grandkids aren’t reading my blog or at least I don’t know if they are, but I like to think that someday they might.  Probably after I’m gone but if they do. and then their kids do, maybe it will have been worth it.

Of course I know there are a few people that read it now or maybe used to read it when I actually wrote more often.  I know I follow several blogs myself and enjoy reading about what they are doing.

The last time I blogged was December the 9th 2010.  We were still at the campground north of Edinburg, Texas.  We are now at our normal winter location which is Portobelo Village in Aransas Pass, Texas.  We arrived here the 15 of December.  We left on the 23 to go back to Oklahoma for Christmas.  We lucked out since although we had cold weather we didn’t have any ice or snow.  We enjoyed the holidays and went to a family reunion for Twila’s family.  All of her brothers and sisters are still living.

We came back to Aransas Pass on the 4th and haven’t done anything exciting except for eating and yes I can get excited about eating.  We have been to our favorite restaurant, in this area, twice now.  It’s a Mexican Restaurant in Rockport and is called Los Comales.  It started in raining Friday and has rained most of the day.

I bought a new 26” TV from Sam’s Club and plan to install it in an outside compartment when it stops raining.

I still have to find where the cables to hook up a third TV are located.  I found where it comes out of my splitter box and goes into the wall but so far haven’t figured out where the other end comes out.  I would think it would be underneath the coach but haven’t located it.  I sent an e-mail to Gulf Stream asking about it but they weren’t any help.  They said it might just be rolled inside the wall of the cabinet where all the TV stuff is located.

Well I guess by now you have figured out what the wandering part is about in the title of the blog.  Twila just left to go to “Wally World” and I have run out of anything to talk about so “That all Folks”.
