Rain, rain go away and come again another day. Twila has started singing this song but from what I am getting as a weather forecast it doesn’t look like it will stop while we are in Wrangell. It started raining last night in Petersburg and hasn’t stopped since. Right now it is coming down really heavy. We are scheduled to be in Wrangell for 3 nights. Maybe we will get lucky and at least have periods when it isn’t raining.
I was the first one on the ferry this morning. They did the same thing they did the first trip. They had me pull across the deck and then back up and drive into the same side of the ship we drove on. When we got here they had me back up and then pull out going up the ramp. They are really good at what they do. This time the tide was high enough that they didn’t need any boards under the wheels to keep me from dragging. It was just drive on and drive off. Now Gary was a different story. They had him back the trailer onto the ferry. The ramp was about 1/2 a block long and then he backed into his parking spot for the trip. Of course that meant he was able to pull straight out when we got to Wrangell. We came to Wrangell from Petersburg by way of the Wrangell Narrows. This is a 21 mile stretch that is never over 1/2 mile wide and at times is as narrow as 300 feet from side to side. It is also not overly deep and has to be navigated at high tide. They literally were zigzagging from one side to the other to get through it.
We got to Wrangell about 11:45am and then drove out to the City RV Park. It was a really pretty site overlooking the bay but the sites weren’t very level. They wanted $25 a night for electric only or $15 a night without electric. Mattie called another RV Park and found out we could get full hookup for $30 a night plus tax so we decided to do that. It turned out not to be much of a park. I spent about 30 minutes just trying to get my motor home close enough to hook up the sewer.

I just wondered if you got my message about Clyde? He is home now, but they still aren't sure how much damage has been done. Mini strokes are different in all cases. How is Gary doing? We are praying he is getting better every day. You guys keep on truckin' and be safe. Love you all. Janna
