Day 81, Ketchikan

We left Wal-Mart and drove out to the Last Chance Campground.  The campground, part of the Tongass National Forest System, was only another 3 miles out from Wal-mart.  It is $10 a night and with our Golden Age Passport only $5 a night, of course there are no hook ups just a place to park but it is a very pretty place to park.  They have several sites large enough for large RVs.  We are parked in site # 2 and as you can see our 41 ft fit since we don’t have a tow car.

We went into town today and did a little looking around but everyone was tired out from the late arrival last night so we just loafed around the rigs.  We did make a fire and sat around it in the evening.  Jana Huffman called while we were enjoying the fire and said they didn’t need a fire back in Oklahoma.  We are glad to be where we are for the summer.  Tomorrow I suspect we will venture out a little more.
