Again we we find ourselves on our last day at this stop. Twila has been doing laundry and I have been dumping and flushing the tanks. We will be getting on the ferry tomorrow morning and it is scheduled to leave Petersburg at 8:30am. It will be the shortest of our trips. The ferry is scheduled to arrive in Wrangell at 11:45am. I found this map in one of the many brochures we have picked up on the trip and thought it might show the inside passage better than the maps I have downloaded from the internet.
This shows all the stops we have already made and the ones coming up.
We drove into town this afternoon and went down to Sandy Beach to look at the Petroglyphs. These are drawings on the rocks right next to the shore that were supposedly drawn by early native people sometime before Christ. We didn’t find anything. I guess it is so faint that if you don’t know exactly where it is, you won’t see it.
We also went to a seafood processing store and bought some Frozen Halibut and Salmon that was vacuum packed. We might have gotten 3 pounds and it was almost $45. They are really proud of their seafood up here.
