We went over to the small cafe at the RV park in Tagish and had breakfast before leaving for Skagway. The owners did everything at the park. He cooked breakfast for us and they had quite a variety including coffee, cappuccino, teas, latte, etc. We ordered coffee and Twila and Mattie had pancakes and Gary and I had eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. It wasn’t cheap, $18.45 Canadian, but it was a lot of food and was very good.
It was only about 80 miles to Skagway. This would have to be the prettiest road I have ever been on in my life and it went on and on and on. Most of these pictures were taken by Twila through the windshield of the motor home.
We had no trouble going through US Customs and arrived in Skagway about noon.
We checked into the Garden City RV Park for 3 nights at $32 a night after our Good Sam discount. After lunch we went up town to get propane for Gary’s trailer. It turned out the propane man wasn’t in until late in the evening and we spent most of the afternoon watching the girls shop. They are so good at it.
We ate at a pizza place in Skagway called the Station Restaurant. Really good pizza, then we came back to the RV’s and sat outside until it got cold. We went into Mattie and Gary’s trailer and played “Jokers” until about 10pm.
