You think this group doesn’t do things together? Well we do. Today we left the park at 8:30am going to, of all places, the city/county health department. Why you may ask? Well maybe you wouldn’t ask but I’ll tell you anyway. We went to get “Shingle” shots. No not to get shingles but to prevent getting them. The shot was $10 each and according to the information furnished it is about 50% effective. I have never had shingles and from talking to people that have had them, such as my sister-in-law Jan, I don’t want them so I think $10 is a bargain to reduce the odds by 50%. I certainly don’t get that good of odds at the casino. Of course anytime we all go anywhere we have to eat out. We went to the “Souper Salad” which as it sounds is a buffet with great salad bar and lots of soups along with baked potatoes, pizza, and of course desserts.
Now I understand we are all going to a really nice seafood restaurant called Charlotte Plummers. The occasion, as if we actually needed one, is the arrival of Dale and Jennifer Glimp. They both still work for a living but are coming down for a week or two on vacation. They are in our RV chapter but aren’t bringing the RV with them. The other day when we bought the Tee Shirts in Corpus several of us bought “Monkey Shirts”, they aren’t really money shirts but baby Orangutans. We are not really sane but we do have a lot of fun.

Well we went to Charlotte Plummers and got really full which is a condition we must really like since we do it a lot. We had people in the restaurant asking us what the Monkey Shirts were for. We just told them it didn’t take much to entertain us or that this is what old people do for fun. We got some really strange looks. We had more club members show up today. Jack and Barbara Miller and Dwayne and Vicki Jackson drove their RV’s down for a two week stay, so we went out to a Mexican Restaurant for supper. Are you starting to get the idea we eat a lot?

We left camp this morning at 7:45am heading for a breakfast buffet. After eating for about 45 minutes Twila and I had to go to the Community Center to help with the Woodcarvers Show. We were scheduled to sell the admission tickets for the show. There are some real nice pieces in the show. People who don’t just make wood chips like I do but are real artists. I will try to remember to take my camera and get some pictures.

Hi Larry and Twila, I enjoy reading your blogs! I'm sorry I haven't talked to you guys in so long. Having a baby and a teenager sure does keep me busy. I don't know where the time goes. We are all doing well though. Ben was the junior homecoming attendant this weekend so that was fun. Basketball is almost over. Will is crawling everywhere and into everything. I need to send pics. Are you on facebook? I post pics there sometimes. It sounds like you all are having fun! Miss you and love you both! Kami
