We left the campground on Dauphin Island about 8am. This is really early for Twila and me. We normally leave out about 10am and are in a new camp about 3pm. We went about 300 miles today. We got up early in case we wanted to drive all the way to St. Augustine, Florida but we remembered we would be changing to Eastern Time from Central Time so it would be an hour later when we stopped. We went a little past Tallahassee to the exit for Monticello. The campground is right off I-10 so it is real convenient. We plan on leaving about 9am tomorrow and we only have 182 miles to drive.
Florida is a new state for Twila and I, we flew into Fort Lauderdale when we took the cruise for our Honeymoon and we stopped in Key West on a cruise going to Italy but this is our first time to RV here. We really aren’t seeing a lot of it since we are only going across the top of it. Maybe someday we will return and go down one side all the way to Key West and then come back up the other side. I seem to always have another trip we need to take. You noticed I said need not want but that is a subject for debate another day.
